Terms of Service

01Acceptance

By submitting an audition enquiry, registering a student, or using the portal, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Code of Conduct. If you register a minor, you accept these Terms on the student's behalf as parent or guardian.

02Admission & eligibility

• Admission is confirmed only after an audition or assessment and in-person identity verification.
• Batch placement is decided by the faculty based on age, experience and seat availability. We may move a student to a more suitable batch with notice.
• Information given at registration must be true and complete. Fake identities or uploaded photos of another person lead to cancellation of admission.

03Your portal account

• You sign in with a one-time password sent to your registered WhatsApp/mobile number. Keep that phone secure and never share OTPs — our staff will never ask for one.
• You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you lose access to your number or suspect misuse.
• To change your registered number, contact the front desk with proof of identity.

04Fees & payments

• Tuition is charged monthly and is due by the 10th of each month, unless your fee plan says otherwise.
• Fees may be paid online through the portal or offline at the academy. Online payments are processed by a licensed payment gateway.
• Your fee amount is confidential and visible only to you and authorised academy staff.
• Prayag Sangeet Samiti examination fees are separate, published openly, and passed on to the board.
• Refunds and cancellations follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

05Classes & attendance

• Classes run as per the published batch schedule. The studio is closed on Mondays.
• Classes missed by a student are not refunded or carried forward, but faculty may offer a make-up session at their discretion.
• Classes cancelled by the academy are rescheduled or adjusted in the next month's fee.

06Board examinations

Danspiration prepares and registers students for Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad examinations. Exam dates, syllabus, results and certificates are controlled by the Samiti; we are not responsible for changes or delays made by the board.

07Conduct

Students, parents and visitors must follow our Code of Conduct in the studio and online. Misuse of the portal — sharing others' data, attempting to bypass security, or abusive messages — may lead to suspension.

08Repertoire & content

Choreographies, compositions, notation, videos and materials shared by the academy remain the intellectual property of Danspiration and Guru Rupa Bhattacharyya. They are for personal practice only and may not be recorded, published, performed commercially or taught elsewhere without written permission.

The academy may photograph or film classes and performances for archives and promotion. Images of minors are published only with the parent's consent, which can be withdrawn at any time.

09Liability

Kathak is a physically demanding art form. Students should inform faculty of any medical condition or injury before class. To the extent permitted by law, the academy is not liable for injuries arising from undisclosed conditions or from not following faculty instruction, nor for loss of personal belongings in the studio.

The website and portal are provided "as is". We work to keep them available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

10Suspension & withdrawal

You may withdraw a student by giving written notice as described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may suspend or end an admission for repeated non-payment, serious misconduct, or safety concerns, after giving the parent an opportunity to be heard.

11Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussion; failing that, the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
